Kabir Bedi, Sangeeth Sivan, Atul Manjrekar, and Vivek Singhania and other Bollywood filmmakers planning to shoot films in Basilicata, Italy
I high profile delegation of Indian filmmakers visited Basilicata region of Italy that consists of breathtakingly beautiful and historically and culturally rich towns like Maratea, Santangelo, Picerno, Castelmezzano, Potenza, and Matera.
The owner of Sirio Studios, the leading film studio based in the region, Angelo Viggiano, invited the delegation for a grand 10-day tour. The delegation consisted of Kabir Bedi, Vivek Singhania (Producer – Na Tum Jaano Na Hum and Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne), Atul Manjrekar (director – Fanney Khan), Sangeeth Sivan (Director, Actor, and Producer) Anuradha Tandon (Ad films Producer and Director), Leena Khobaragade (NFDC), Avantika Khattri (Producer, Director, Actress), Veena Bachani (Events and Wedding Planner), Megha Gupta (Tourism).
The delegation met large crowds of enthusiastic people everywhere they went as Sandokan’s (Kabir Bedi) presence led to his ardent fans mobbing their idol while warmly welcoming Bollywood stars and filmmakers.
The delegation was hosted and felicitated by mayors of the towns wherever they traveled. The objective of the tour was to explore opportunities to shoot and make films in the region. Sangeeth Sivan, Atul Manjrekar, and Vivek Singhania have already expressed intent to shoot their films and are working on their schedules. Angelo Viggiano has also extende an open invitation to Indian filmmakers to come and explore the region for possible locations for their film projects.
