‘Nikamma’ hot-pair Abhimanyu and Shirley– all set to steal the thunder


By Chaitanya Padukone –  Ace Bollywood director Sabbir Khan and Sony Pictures International have come together for an action entertainer movie titled Nikamma. Just as director Sabbir introduced Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in ‘Heropanti’, the audiences will again be introduced to the fresh pairing of macho Abhimanyu Dassani, son of popular actress Bhagyashree and pop-star singer and social media super-sensation, charming Shirley Setia. If Hollywood was known for iconic Oscar-Award winning actresses like Shirley Maclaine we will have our pop-diva Shirley hitting the screen during the summer of 2020 ! Enthuses, Sabir, “Being a high octane cracker of a massy entertainer, Nikamma is in line with my previous big action entertainers – Heropanti and Baaghi . This time too audiences will be assured of action, comedy and romance with a strong emotional core. Newcomers Abhimanyu and Shirley are a breath of fresh air and remind me of the youthful zest that both Tiger and Kriti had in their debuts.” Abhimanyu Dassani says, “The belief that Sabbir sir and Sony Pictures have showed in me is exhilarating plus this genre brings a whole set of challenges that are very exciting.” Excited about her debut film, Shirley Setia, the Instagram-sensation, who originally hails from Auckland ( New Zealand) gushes,” I couldn’t have asked for a better launch and I am glad that my first foray into Bollywood is a prestigious association with an international studio and Sabbir Sir,.” Meanwhile, Vivek Krishnani, M.D. Sony Pictures’ declares that Nikamma is part of Sony’s larger plans where the studio is sharply focused on introducing new talent to the industry backed by strong content and talented film makers as it mounts an impressive slate”. The makers have already wrapped the first schedule of the film, and according to our sources a song and few scenes have been shot on a huge scale.
