After the stupendous success of their recent singles Ghar Se Nikalte Hi, Oh Humsafar and Raat Kamaal Hai, T-Series is all set to unveil their next single, Gal Sun featuring their artist Akhil Sachdeva.
With vocals and music by Akhil Sachdeva, lyrics by Manoj Muntashir and Akhil, the composition is bound to leave you mesmerized with its soulful arrangement. The sheer energy Akhil has rendered into the song will take you into a profound space. The song will remind you of grunge, rock and grime.
The stunningly shot love ballad is bound to impress you from the first viewing itself. The video, directed by Charit Desai features Sneha Namanandi alongside Akhil in the picturesque island of Chania.
Interestingly, Akhil is releasing a song post the hugely popular Humsafar from Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Talking about his single, Gal Sun, Akhil recalls, “The experience for me was amazing and very different because I had fractured my hand during the shoot. Even after the accident, I was driven to complete the video. There was remarkable energy on set. They felt my energy was positive when I entered the set and it changed everybody’s thought process. All of us were consumed by the song that we wanted to do it well and from all our heart. It was shot on an island called Chania which has not been explored much before.”
Akhil has always been excited about this particular song. “This song was actually written and composed four months before I made Humsafar. It was almost in the same phase, three and a half years ago when I made these songs. On a personal level, I prefer this song, it is more close to me than Humsafar. So, I am really happy that it is coming out now as a single after three years. I feel hugely confident about this song. It was fun also because I am acting in the video and that was also a lot of work. The storyline is such that it is not just a regular music video,” informs Akhil.
Not many know that T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar has been in love with the song Gal Sun for some time now. It is easily one of his favorite tracks. Initially, the idea was to release the song in a Bollywood film but due to the trend of bringing back the pop culture of the 90s, Kumar thought of releasing this song as a single.
Kumar adds, “Gal Sun is one of my favourite tracks and we are very excited that this will be Akhil’s second song in such a long time. The song packs in several emotions – love, anger, pain, joy and ecstasy and the video, shot in unexplored islands of Greece, has captured all of this seamlessly.”
