By Chaitanya Padukone – For down-to-earth talented actor Tusshar Kapoor, making an impact in ‘comedy roles ’ is now his routine forte having done a series of hilarious movies including the ‘Golmaal’ series which also includes the supernatural comedy ‘Golmaal Again’. This time the versatile Tusshar has played the lead role in his producer-sister Ekta Kapoor’s complete entertainer digital web-series titled ‘Booo Sab Ki Phategi’ on ALT Balaji directed by Farhad Samji , which is a wacko horror-comedy. Incidentally among his co-stars in the ‘Booo..’ cast is the oomph-babe Mallika Sherawat who plays ‘Haseena’ the glamorous ‘ghost’. It may be recalled, that 17 years ago, Sherawat was Tusshar’s co-star in the movie ‘Jeena Sirf Merre Liye’ which was her cameo acting debut. Being a crazy, wild scare-fare comedy, was Tusshar required to maintain a balance. Responds the ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum-3’ actor , “ That’s right, I had to ensure that there was no hamming or hyper-performances. We have such amazing witty punch-lines in the double-meaning dialogues and hilarious gags contributed by ace writer Paritosh Painter. There is even this dialogue where I mention Ekta’s name and my mom Shobha’s name with the literal meaning. Our web-series ‘Boo…’ is a laugh-riot because we have such super-comedians like Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda and Sanjay Mishra along with the glam-girls like Shefali Zariwala. Incidentally, Tusshar is delighted because the web-series ‘Boo…’ has begun streaming on June 27th which happens to be legendary composer-singer R D Burman’s 80th birth anniversary. “Besides the fact, that my star-actor dad Jeetendra, Ekta and I are ardent fans of RDB’s chartbusting songs, in our web-series ‘Boo..’ we have this RDB composed and sung iconic energetic retro-track ‘Duniya Mein Logon Ko’ which is repeatedly played in the background, to suggest how some of the screen-characters become a butt of an ‘April Fool’ spooky prank,” shares the suave Kapoor who is euphoric with the mention of his cherubic son Laksshya ( via surrogacy). “ It’s a huge stress-buster when I spend quality time with him. Just watching Laksshya play, relaxes me and gives me immense joy,” he smiles. What’s next in Tusshar’s acting kitty ? “There is this upcoming serious thriller movie tentatively titled ‘Marechha’ where I play a tough cop with grey shades,” reveals the affable actor who is co-producing this movie ‘Laxmmi Bomb’, but is ‘not’ part of the cast.
